Delayed Update

I know I'm already doing a horrible job NOT updating this blog as I had intended to, but hear me out. I recently got a new laptop which still doesn't even have my itunes on it and I have an iPhone.. ugh... AND I'm working on getting photoshop soon. I need to resize and fix some pictures before I post them so that's in the works here soon. I just might go get the software this weekend.

I've done some great little tweaks around our home so far. I finally got a mail sorter thing-a-ma-bobby hung up. I'm half way done with my burlap curtains for the kitchen. I finally figured out how to organize my shoes and at the same time realizing I MIGHT have a small problem with shoes, but OMG you should see this one pair I bought... omg, love them! I'll be sure to post a picture of them. I'm also almost ready to put up pictures above our bed using patterned paper by Stampin Up! in shadow box frames to match the room decor. & I guess that's about it for now.

In other news, work is crazy and so is school. I cannot wait to be done. I'm so tired and it's only the beginning of March. Oh August, be here soon so I can be DONE with classes.

Later peeps!

Inspiration Bug has hit me

Recently, I've been reading lots and lots of different blogs. I started one sometime last year after just turning OR was about to turn 26. I wanted to document my story and post the crafty things I made, along with life memories. Well that didn't go very well as my birthday is in June. While I have other online personal and locked blogs, this one is something I wanted, and still do want to turn into being more public and hopefully inspiring to some.

I'm a crafty girl trapped in my last year of college working on a double major in Finance and Accounting in addition to a full time job, therefore I have no real time to do anything else. I love to create all sorts of things. I've always been a crafty person from painting and coloring pictures already outlined, valentines day cards when I was little, home decor and arrangements, t-shirts, bulletin boards for school, scrapbooking, cards and recently I've been wanting to do MORE with my home. I came across a few blogs recently that are right on the money of the style I am looking for to make my home a little more "grown up"!

Here are the few current home inspired blogs I am following:

This last one is my most recent favorite. Not only do I like her style, but I LOVE her outlook on life and positive thinking. Always to remain yourself and remember there is more to life. I love that! I love that she loves taking pictures and making them into a story. I am also obsessed with a quote she loves and I am now trying to live by:

"Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart."

With this, I've been inspired to make life more peaceful and calm for myself from within. I tend to get very stressed out over things very quickly.

Anyway, I'm making this post short and sweet, but I'm hoping to be able to write more later and fill in the post with pictures. I follow lots of other blogs having to do with scrapbooking and/or card making, but I feel I am drifting away from that right now. I know it will never leave me as I have an office dedicated to it with TONS of stuff I've purchased and have not used. So I'm sure I'll be posting cards I've made and perhaps other crafty things I'm in the mood for. :)

I would post a picture, but for some reason am having a difficult time. No worries, I love taking pictures so I'm sure I'll be overloaded with some soon. I hope to keep the blog up. Wish me luck!

*oh and one more thing. I am in NO MEANS a writer, so grammar mistakes ARE for sure going to appear if they haven't already. So if you're some type of grammar nazi, please save it for someone else. I'm a math/numbers person, & I bet I can own one up on you if you were working on something diffucult that was math/numbers related. All in good times of course! ;)
